An electricity estimate starts with units and the tariff applicable to the connection, then adds relevant fixed charges, fuel or other adjustments and taxes. Because tariff category, billing period and provider-specific items vary, a manual-rate calculator should be treated as an estimate—not a duplicate of the issued bill.
